About Santee Presbyterian Church

Santee Presbyterian is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church.

Structured as a representative governing body that functions under our Book of Order and the Book of Confessions, we seek to follow our head of the Church, Jesus Christ, to serve Christ in our daily tasks and to live holy and joyful lives.

Our church mission is to

"Connect people to God and to each other”

through study of the Bible, service, fellowship, and by working together to be a witness to Christ’s saving love.

Santee Presbyterian Church was first organized in 1985, sponsored by First Presbyterian Church of Orangeburg. The first service was held at Clark’s Restaurant on December 1, 1985.

Established with the understanding that most of the members would be from the several retirement communities in the Santee area, our focus has been to serve older adults. Most have moved here from different states. Many have transferred from different denominations that share common doctrines and creeds with Presbyterians.

As a still fairly new congregation, we continue to explore ways of ministering to an older congregation while exploring ways to connect to the younger ( under 60 ) population of Santee.
